WORLD HEADQUARTERS

The Universal Life Church World Headquarters is in Stanislaus County, in the City of Modesto. Modesto has a population of about 200,000 and growing. Modesto is located 75 miles South of Sacramento. Modesto is an agricultural city. Gallo Winery, the largest winery in the world, is located here in Modesto. The Universal Life Church has a big church building located on the comer of Third St. and F Street. The office building is just behind the church on Third Street. The church owns the house North and the house West of the church.

Headquarters contains its own printshop, in the lower level of the church building. The print shop supplies a darkroom, layout room, two large presses, and several type-setting machines, and the IBM equipment which has greatly enhanced the ability of the church to increase its production.

The office building is very large with a full-time staff of 6 people, who are eager to help you with your question. The church itself seats about 200 people and holds regular Sunday meetings at IO am. The public is always welcome. We don't have a large crowd all the time, but, we have a meeting.

We let everyone have a chance to speak, if you wish to. Rev. Hensley brings his message and we have, more or less, an open meeting. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 p.m. So if you are going through Modesto or would like to visit with ULC, feel free to stop by and see us.

Modesto has been good to me (Rev. Hensley). I came here in the early 30's, but, didn't stay very long. I came back in the early 40's and started the Church of God at 200 El Paso Street. Then I left again and returned in 1958. This is when I started the Universal Life Church. We incorporated it in 1959.

If you ever thought of coming to Modesto, please do. We would like to invite you. It's a good town, with a great climate!
