If you've never heard the Parable of the Blind Men and the Elephant, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blind_Men_and_an_Elephant and that pretty much sums it up.
Basically, I believe that there are many views of one religious truth, but there are many obstacles that prevent us from seeing the truth in its entirety, which is usually the source of most of our pain and suffering.
I believe that all forms of life are created equal, and should be treated accordingly.
I also believe that we humans are capable of far more than most of us believe are possible. (I'm therefore naturally partial to the concepts of Jedism from "Star Wars.") |
