I believe that people are the way way to righteousness. Most religions lead to the same basic belief, be the best person you can be and your afterlife will be rewarding. All people have some sort of moral standard, some much different from others, but morals are a strong foundation of all civilization. With out some sort of personal law there would be no judicial system. And in today's American civilization, legality is a huge part of marriage; whether religious or not marriage is a public declaration of love. People marry for many reasons, most often including one or more of the following: legal, social, emotional, economical, spiritual, and religious. My goal in officiating is to make every fiancé(e) know that they deserve their dream wedding, no matter their conviction. |
