This I Believe: A strong sense of personal and cosmic, for lack of a better word, Spirituality is the firm foundation on which my life exists. I do believe in God and am Christian. I believe that God is a loving and forgiving God who unconditionally does both. I believe He is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent. I believe in an afterlife in which our souls, our true beings, reunite with loved ones who have crossed over before us and and an enlightenment that I can only begin to imagine and am always in great anticipation of that day. A day that I have faith will bring amazing unconditional love, unbridled compassion, and an interconnection of souls in conjunction with the shedding of our temporary human bodies which may have contributed to the limitations of our abilities to do so, and a hope for the beauty and comfort of everlasting peace that will envelope our souls as we are offered the hand of God for continued guidance unto our journey. In my opinion, organized religion has always been allowed to become overly oppressive and controlling. I believe that we all must find our own path to God and that some will find that going to church "religiously" feeds their soul, and some may not and choose to thank and worship in so many other and just as fulfilling ways. That is a path that is between each soul and God and it is not religion's or a religious leader's place to interfere. Enlightened spiritual guidance with a gentle hand and a call for personal communications between God and His children is imperative! I believe in celebrating and remembering the last supper through communion. I emphatically believe that ALL ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO RECEIVE COMMUNION...no rules, strings or catches attached. PERIOD! Jesus did not say "Do this in remembrance of me if and only if you are without sin and have attended all the required masses and confessed to someone behind a screen and said 10 million prayers to absolve and cleanse your filthy souls". He just said, " DO THIS, IN MEMORY OF ME" He came to save us sinners, not punish us. He came to show and teach love, not oppression. He came to show and teach forgiveness, not judgement. I believe our spiritual paths change with the choices we make through our journey and that this connection to God and the souls who have gone before us is as imperative as the oxygen we breath in this life.
Favorite Quote: "Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I need it the most" "Death is there to keep us honest, and constantly remind us we are free."
