Many people have written to inquire about their "ordination number", because some few states evidently ask for this information on the marriage license. The ULC does not assign numbers to its ministers. Numbering people is something the state likes to do, but we have found that many people don't like to be numbered, so we don't do it. If you encounter a form which asks for your number, you can simply write "N/A" or "none".
